What Is the ATI TEAS 7?
The Test of Essential Academic Skills is the entrance exam most nursing and allied health programs use to check that applicants are ready for college-level coursework. ATI introduced version 7 in June 2022. It tests Reading, Math, Science and English, and most schools use your overall score alongside your GPA to rank applicants.

You get an overall score and a score for each section. ATI also places your result in one of five academic preparedness levels. Most programs ask for Proficient or higher.

How long is the ATI TEAS 7?
The ATI TEAS 7 takes 209 minutes, or just under three and a half hours, plus a short optional break after the Math section. Reading gets 55 minutes, Math 57, Science 60 and English 37. Each section is timed separately, so you can’t bank extra time from one section for another. Plan for about four hours at the testing center once check-in is included.
